Monroe Fire Department History

Welcome to the Monroe, MI. Fire Fighter's IAFF Local 326 Union history page. We are the oldest continuous IAFF local in the State of Michigan. This page is currently under construction. For now enjoy some of our historical photo's.

EMS oxygen – MFD on Cutting Edge of EMS   (1947)

MFD becomes the first in county to obtain the pressurized oxygen delivery system.  We responded throughout the county and even to the Emergency Room to provide this service.
